Alabang Town Center
Alabang, Philippines

Alabang Town Center serves as the nucleus of an upper-end community, consisting of a 65-acre business park and a 1,500-acre residential area, Ayala Alabang Village. With a gross leasable area of 567,000 sqm, the pedestrian-oriented commercial center offers al fresco cafes, a relaxing ambiance and the charm of Spanish Mission architecture. An open-air Town Plaza at the heart of the center serves as an ideal venue for live entertainment and community events, with a promenade connection to the social functions of the local church. The Town Center has two major supermarkets, over 200 retail and food establishments, five cinemas, and an entertainment center. Associate Filipino Architect is GF & Partners. Client is Ayala Land, Inc.

While maintaining the warm and cozy ambiance of a town center, Architecture International master planned and designed the Phase 2 expansion of Alabang Town Center into a major regional center to include an Activity Center, additional retail courts, malls and parking to increase the gross leasable area by an additional 600,000 s.f. In 2008, Architecture International, in collaboration with Benoy, created a comprehensive master plan to transform the Alabang Town Center into an integrated mixed-use center with offices, hotel, residential and a new open-air hybrid retail format.

Alabang Town Center has won several design awards including a Certificate of Merit from the International Council of Shopping Centers, 2001, and Best Shopping Center of the Year from the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry, 2002.
