505 Fifth Avenue
New York City, New York, USA

Two designs were developed for 505 Fifth Avenue, a 39-story, 650 foot high, 730,000 gross s.f. office and retail complex, at the corner of E. 42nd Street in Midtown Manhattan. The complex features two levels of retail space around a five-story atrium, which has its primary entrance on Fifth Avenue. The massing of the tower is a direct response to setback requirements established by midtown zoning regulations and the design responds to the traditional character of Fifth Avenue. These designs were developed for Touko Haus by the Principals of Architecture International when they were Principals of The Architects Collaborative.
