Vista International Hotel
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

This 1.3 million s.f. project includes a 650-room hotel, 500,000 s.f. office building and underground parking for 580 cars. A four-story podium of shops, restaurants, and lobbies connects the two towers, with a pedestrian concourse running through the structure. Care was taken to relate to the color and scale of the surrounding buildings, including the 1902 Penn Central Railroad Station. This design was developed for Forest City Enterprises, Inc. and Joseph Muscarelle, Inc. by the Principals of Architecture International when they were Principals of The Architects Collaborative.
