Sherry Caplan   IIDA, Assoc. AIA

Ms. Caplan is internationally recognized for the interior design of mixed-use, residential, retail, and institutional projects throughout the United States and Asia. Ms. Caplan continues to demonstrate the use of design to enhance the user/visitor experience and to establish distinctive project identity. Her projects include the interiors of Oakland’s award-winning The Essex on Lake Merritt, Boston’s Copley Place, The Heritage, the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, San Francisco’s Soma Grand and San Francisco’s first LEED Certified hotel, the Orchard Garden Hotel. Ms. Caplan is a frequent lecturer on design, was invited by the AIA to the Round Table on Excellence in Interior Architecture, and has published extensively on innovations in design and market trends. Prior to founding Architecture International in 1994, she was a Principal and Director of Interiors with The Architects Collaborative in Boston and San Francisco.
